Cosmetic Laser Resurfacing Surgery
Lasers are the scalpel of the 1990's.
With the advances in technology came a vast away of different
laser types. Lasers can be used for tattoo removal, birth
mark treatment, and skin resurfacing.
Body hair can be removed with devices such as EpiTouch™
technique. This relatively simple procedure can leave your
skin feeling smooth, clean and fresh. Laser resurfacing can be
used on the following conditions in most cases: acne
scars, remove pre-cancerous skin lesions, sun spots,
"liver" spots, and wrinkles. Treatment causes
irritation to the skin and usually leaves the patient with a
pink sunburned appearing skin. In the case of extensive
resurfacing, such as in the face, physicians often precede the
laser treatment with a light skin peel.
Spider veins, acne
rosacea, or even birth marks such as port wine stains can be
treated with a Flash-Pump Dye laser. This laser passes through
the skin and is absorbed by blood vessel. The entire treatment
can usually be performed in several treatment sittings taking
about 30 minutes each. This procedure has minimal discomfort and
is often performed with no anesthesia.
